The Work of the CHRE
The Centre for Health Research and Education (CHRE) is an independent UK based healthcare company with global cancer prevention ambitions. Smoking cessation is a top priority for CHRE. CHRE’s founding directors are British-Indian medical doctors with a combined 30 years of demonstrated success in medical practice, global nicotine regulatory engagement and healthcare innovation.
CHRE was formed with a clear mission: bridging the policy and practice gap in public health. This was borne out of the directors’ experience in global tobacco harm reduction policy shaping and general practice in the community. The directors have a single-minded focus to work in smoking cessation and have prioritized CHRE over successful past corporate and current clinical practice careers.
CHRE’s research arm leverages a wide virtual network of healthcare practitioners and researchers to forensically identify and understand bottlenecks for successful delivery of smoking cessation services globally (projects at various stages of planning and delivery in UK, India, Bangladesh).
CHRE’s Practice arm is building a programme in the UK for educating and empowering healthcare professionals to be the catalysts for effective smoking cessation delivery.
CHRE's strengths are:
• single-minded focus on smoking cessation
• special interest and unique insights in delivering smoking cessation in mental health
• deep expertise in the nicotine science field
• understanding of consumer and Key Opinion Leader behaviour
• comprehensive knowledge of the nicotine regulatory policy space, and
• a vast virtual network of senior healthcare and public health researchers globally.
