We are delighted to announce the 4th International Forum for Scleral Lens Research (IFSLR) event organized in collaboration with the Global Specialty Lens Symposium, which supports the IFSLR with enthusiasm. The mission of the International Forum for Scleral Lens Research (IFSLR) is to advance the discipline of scleral lens prescribing through the coordinated efforts of evidence-based research and clinical practice.
The format of this research forum is designed to facilitate discussions between expert researchers and clinicians dedicated to scleral lens research. During each session, 3 experts will provide short presentations, followed by a lively discussion involving the speakers, Invited Panel Members, and the audience. Each session will focus on a different “hot topic” in scleral lens research.
The IFSLR is hosted by the GSLS and is made possible from sponsorships from Blanchard CooperVision and Bausch & Lomb. Registration for the virtual IFSLR 2021 is free to attendees and available through the GSLS virtual meeting website.

The intent of the IFSLR is solely to support and stimulate research and create a better lens for our patients and the nature of the IFSLR is indeed idealistic. The feedback was that no one walked out from this meeting richer other than being more knowledgeable! Last year’s meeting was extremely well received among practitioners and industries.
We are simply coming together to learn and share information for the benefit of our patients.
Join us to discuss various relevant aspects of emerging research!
