  • Can you give me travel directions by subway and taxi?

By Subway: take the number 1 train to the 116th street station (the Columbia University station). Walk north on Broadway to 120th street and turn left. Walk one block to Claremont Avenue. The Interchurch Center is between 119th-120th streets on the west side of the street. By taxi: take the West Side Highway to 95th Street. Exit onto Riverside Drive going north to 120th street. Turn right one block to Claremont Avenue for the main entrance of the building.

The TIC Building

  • What is the protocol when I arrive at the TIC Building?

ICCR meetings on the first floor do not need a visitors pass. The larger meetings are held in the Sockman Lounge on the first floor (midway down the lobby aisle on the right side). If you are going to the ICCR office in Suite 1842, an ICCR staff person will need to register you with the front desk, via the building's electronic visitors system.

  • Where are nearby restrooms to the 1st floor meeting rooms?

Restrooms are in the basement level. Take the 1st floor escalator to the basement and make two left turns.

  • What is the wireless connection information for the 1st floor and cafeteria area during ICCR Conferences?

    • Username is: ICCR (upper case)
    • Password is: ICCR2020 (upper case)

  • Is there wireless access in the ICCR office?

    • Select the SSID: ICCR-WiFi
    • The password is: ICCR@10115#

  • Is there a cafeteria, lounge area, and library with computers in the TIC Building?

Yes, there is a cafeteria on the basement level complete with a lounge area. Hours of operation are: 7:30am-10:30am: open for breakfast. 10:30am-11:30am: CLOSED. 11:30am-2:00pm: open for lunch. 2:00pm-3:30pm: beverages and snacks only.

The TIC Library is located in Rm. 250 and open from 8:15am-4:00pm. There are two computers available for use as well as periodicals and books. There is no access to printers.

  • Where is the Lactation Room?

The Lactation Room is located next to the Ladies Room on the 2nd floor. First, go to Room 240, and ask the receptionist for a key.  Or, feel free to ask Victoria, or any staff member, to use a spare office at ICCR, Suite 1842. All offices have locks on the doors.

  • Who should I ask for in the meeting rooms if I need assistance with something (need a copy, technology questions etc.)?
