Program

American Indian & Alaska Native (Indigenous) peoples affected by cancer are invited to a panel discussion with Tribal Liaisons from Fred Hutch/ University of Washington Cancer Consortium, Seattle Cancer Care Alliance, and Urban Indian Health Institute.

As a cancer patient or family member, you will learn about resources and strategies that offer hope and support by helping you navigate cancer treatment and survivorship.

Discussion topics will include: 

  • Working with your cancer care team to integrate traditional healing and traditional medicine during cancer treatment

  • Navigating cancer care and cancer screening services 

  • Importance of Indigenous representation in cancer clinical trials and how to access

  • Accessing resources in the community and at your cancer center
