Please read the information below before submitting your Tip or Trick:

The CanSAGE Scientific Program Committee is currently accepting submissions for the “Tips, Tricks & Surgical Hacks” session taking place during the 2026 Annual Conference. on October 3 from 10:45-11:45 am.

This session is an opportunity for fellows to share practical surgical pearls, techniques, and creative approaches that their colleagues can take away and apply in their own practice.

Selected fellows will deliver a short, 5-minute presentation showcasing their Tip or Trick at the Conference.

Who is eligible?

Any Medical Student, Fellow, Post-Doctoral Student, or other trainee.

Submission Requirements:

Submissions should feature a practical tip, trick, technique, or surgical pearl that may be useful to others. Examples may include:

A practical surgical technique or approach
A creative solution to a common surgical challenge
A technique that may improve efficiency, safety, or surgical approach
A simple but valuable pearl you wish someone had taught you sooner

Please provide a brief description of your Tip or Trick, including what it is, when or why you use it, and what makes it useful.

Submission Selection:

Submissions will be reviewed by the CanSAGE Scientific Program Committee, with consideration given to practicality, relevance, originality, and educational value.

Selected submitters will be asked to prepare a concise 5-minute presentation demonstrating and explaining their Tip or Trick.
