Stump the Professor

•    Recognize exceptional clinical situation
•    Elaborate a thorough collaborative reflective investigation to orient diagnosis
•    Suggest appropriate management of rare conditions with few literature guidance

 

Please read the information below before submitting your case: 

The CanSAGE Scientific Program Committee is currently accepting cases to be considered for the “Stump the Professor” event that will be held during the 2026 Annual Conference on October 2 from 10:30-11:45 am.

The selected cases will be presented for discussion at the conference.

Selected presenters will receive a complimentary conference registration for 2027 conference.

Who is eligible?

Any Medical Student, Fellow, Post-Doctoral Student, or other trainee.

Case Requirements:

Cases involving a gynecologic condition. Cases with an unusual presentation or complication will be given priority to enhance the chances that your case will “Stump the Professor".  Cases submitted should be limited to a 4,000-4,500 character case summary (including spaces) that includes: 

• Final diagnosis
• What findings led to that diagnosis
• The clinical significance of the condition for heightened provider awareness
• Links to images and video clips are encouraged

Case Selection:

Cases will be evaluated based on quality of submission, unique nature of the presentation and/or complication, and the challenging nature of the case.

Selected submission will need to provide a slide deck presenting the case and a summary of the pathophysiology behind the case for learning purposes.
