A complete planning committee must be formed and functional prior to submitting this application. It is expected that you have met several times already to lay out a base plan for this event in order to answer the questions on the following page. Active participation is essential for the success of the event. Committee members are expected to contribute to tasks such as securing sponsorships, promoting the event, sourcing invited speakers, and reviewing abstracts.
Our goal is to create a successful and high-quality event with a rich and diverse program. To ensure that this event attracts a large and engaged audience, a significant volume of abstract submissions, or relevant sponsors, to build a program worthy of a professional audience will be required. Your contributions in all aspects of strategy to execution are what will make this event truly stand out.
This partnership is designed to be financially self-sustaining. ASABE provides the logistical and administrative framework, but the planning committee is responsible for key factors - such as content, marketing, and sponsorships that influence the events' financial viability and visibility. Your application should clearly demonstrate how the proposed timing, location, and subject matter have been purposefully chosen to ensure a successful and well-attended event.
