CGA Energy Nexus and Annual Technical Conference 2025

Papers abstracts are now being accepted for the CGA Energy Nexus and Annual Technical Conference 2025. To be considered, please follow the submission process and be sure to include all pertinent details. Submissions will be open until Tuesday, May 20, 2025.

Two presentation formats will be offered for the event. 

1. Breakout Session: Presenters will have 30 minutes to present followed by a 15-minute question and answer period. Presenters will have access to a projector to share their presentation. Presentations will be shared after the conference with conference participants. A formal paper is not required for a breakout session.
2. Poster Presenter: Presenters will create a poster highlighting the information of their paper. Posters will be displayed in the event area and a designated time will be made for delegates to view posters and discuss their content with the presenter. Your paper will be circulated through our event app prior to the conference. A formal paper is required for poster presenters.

Accepted Submissions: will be contacted by Friday, June 6, 2025, to confirm participation on the program. Accepted submissions will receive a 25% discount on event registration for their presenter. If multiple presenters have been indicated, only one presenter will receive the discount. 

Commercialism: Content of breakout sessions, posters, and papers must be specific to the submitted topic and cannot in any way be constructed or ultimately viewed as a “sales pitch” for a specific product or the services of a specific organization.  To help with compliance for this requirement, we ask that all presentations/papers be submitted by August 29th.

Papers Topics

We are looking for papers on the following topics but encourage all submissions:

• Health & Safety
• Expansion or Infrastructure Projects
• Integrity & Risk Management
• Reliability & Resiliency / Incident Responses
• Renewable Gases (Hydrogen & RNG)
• End-Use Technologies (Gas Heat Pumps, CHPs, Hybrid Heating, etc)
• Other Gas End-Users (ie: Builders, Restaurants, Power Generation, AI data centres)

Distribution: By submitting your paper abstract, you agree that on acceptance of your paper, the Canadian Gas Association and CGA Enterprises Inc. may distribute your paper in conference distribution material through any means, not limited to the CGA Events App, CGA.ca, the event website, and periodicals published by the Canadian Gas Association and CGA Enterprises Inc. By submitting your paper abstract, you agree that on acceptance of your paper, Canadian Gas Association and CGA Enterprises Inc. shall be permitted to reproduce all or part of this publication and presentation in abbreviated or an edited form to established journals and periodicals (hardcopy or digital) and used for event promotion through various media channels. Authors will be appropriately cited and acknowledged for their work.
