Thank you for your interest in sponsoring an event during CPW! First things first, click Login (above) and create a new user profile in order to create event submissions.
Once logged in, review the CPW Space Reservation and Safety Guidelines (in the additional tabs above) in order to submit your event (under the Submissions tab) and be aware of any other CPW rules and restrictions. All events must be submitted by March 19, 2025 and approved by the Events Committee before they can be listed in the CPW virtual directory. Events submitted after March 19th will need special approval. Please email cpw@mitadmissions.org with any questions.
Below is a summary of our guidelines, please review before submitting your event:
- Only representatives of official MIT entities—residence halls, FSILGs, ASA groups, and DLCs—may host CPW events.
- Events must not conflict with any Featured Events (restricted times found here).
- All CPW activities must end by 1 AM (on Thursday - Saturday), per Institute regulations.
- All CPW activities must end by 12 PM on Sunday.
- Admissions and the CPW Events Committee reserve the right to alter your event title and/or description.
- References to alcohol, drugs, or illicit/inappropriate behavior will be automatically rejected.
- We will be in touch if changes need to be made. No news is good news.
- Your event submission 'Acceptance Status' will be reflected as 'Accepted' in late March if no changes need to be made.
If you need to modify or cancel an event:
- Events cannot be edited once submitted, you can 'save and continue later' if needed. We recommend waiting until all details are finalized before submitting your event.
- If you will be hosting the same event multiple times, because your event will be occurring on multiple occasions (e.g. tours, open houses, information sessions), you will need to submit a separate submission for each event.
- If you would like to cancel or withdraw your event after it has been submitted, please email cpw@mitadmissions.org.
Important event reminders:
- CPW is dry. No alcohol should be displayed or consumed during any event or program.
- You are an ambassador of MIT. Please adhere to all policies and expectations laid out in the Mind and Hand Book.
- All MIT faculty, staff, or students working with minors should complete the new training about the Protection of Minors at MIT, available via the Atlas Learning Center. This training introduces the policies and procedures designed to protect the safety of minors who participate in MIT's in-person, online, and hybrid programs. The course takes about 20 minutes to complete.
