Global Brand Leader
As Genworth’s Global Brand Leader, Janice Luvera directs brand strategy and develops platforms that promote the company’s vision – helping people achieve the comfort of financial security and protect it once they do. By blending social media and the latest in experiential marketing with other data-driven deliverables, Janice has led Genworth – which issued its first policy in 1871 as The Life Insurance Company of Virginia – into the digital age. Janice recently launched Genworth’s national #LetsTalk Tour, an ongoing campaign to raise awareness and educate on the need to have a conversation about long term care planning. As our population grows older, 70 percent of Americans will find themselves in need of help with everyday tasks – from getting dressed to getting the house in order. That help can get extremely expensive, yet neither Medicare nor the Affordable Care Act covers long term care. Genworth is committed to providing long term care insurance products to help people age the way they live and protect their legacies. To kick off this conversation at dinner tables across the country and in public squares around the world, Janice has brought together issue experts like Genworth CEO Tom McInerney and familiar faces like actor Rob Lowe. In doing so, she and Genworth have helped individuals take a necessary first step toward addressing one of the most pressing social issues affecting all generations today. Janice has held a number of management positions at Genworth and its predecessor, GE Capital. Earlier in her career, she directed the marketing and advertising efforts of Domino’s Pizza and Sears, Roebuck, and Co. She graduated from the University of Michigan with a BA in Journalism and completed an executive program from the Darden School of Business Administration at the University of Virginia as part of Genworth’s training program. Janice is passionate about the latest fashion trends and hockey, and currently resides in Richmond, Virginia with her husband, son, and daughter.
