Florian Zickfeld joined Dii in 2010 and holds the position of Director Strategy. In this role, Mr Zickfield coordinates Dii’s strategic approach to enabling renewables in MENA: the promotion of reference projects in the short term, and formulation of regulation and policy recommendations for the mid to long term.

Mr Florian’s topic focus is on the technical, socioeconomic and especially financing challenges facing an integrated EUMENA electricity system in the future. He is an author of the 2012 Dii study “Desert Power 2050: Perspectives on a Sustainable Power System for EUMENA”. Prior to Dii, he worked as a management consultant for the Boston Consulting Group.
