Christiana Care Health System

Randy Gaboriault is the Vice President and Chief Information Officer for the Christiana Care Health System, one of the twenty largest healthcare providers in the nation.
Randy serves as chair for the nation's first health information exchange, the DHIN. He serves on the board of directors, and as treasurer for TechImpact, a global nonprofit whose mission is to ensure that all nonprofits can use technology to better serve our world. Randy is an advisory board member for Safeguard Scientifics, Inc. (NYSE:SFE) a private equity and venture capital firm focused on life sciences and technology companies. He also serves as an advisor to Siemens Medical Solutions. He is a founding advisor of the BluePrint Health IT Innovation Exchange.
Prior to Christiana Care, Randy was Senior Vice President, Chief Information and Strategic Development Officer for Teleflex Incorporated, a global provider of medical devices. During his tenure, Randy also held responsibility for global logistics, operational excellence and strategic sourcing.
Distinctions include: Information Week's "20 Innovative IT Ideas To Steal," a two time recipient of Computerworld's Honors Program Laureate award, Computerworld's "Top Five" recognition, CIO Magazine's CIO 100 award, and named to Computerworld's Premier 100 IT leaders in 2013.
In 2012, his organization won a $10 million Health Care Innovation Award from the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation to create and test a new information technology solution that will use dynamic predictive analytics to create a new model of care for post-myocardial infarction and revascularization patients. This will decrease emergency room visits and avoidable readmissions to hospitals and improve interventions and care transitions.
