Bio

Dr. Sergey Sayapin is an Associate Professor in International and Criminal Law at KIMEP University (Almaty, Kazakhstan). In 2000 - 2014, he held a number of posts at the ICRC Regional Delegation in Central Asia (Tashkent, Uzbekistan). He holds an LLB in Public International Law (University of World Economy and Diplomacy, 1999), an LLM in International Human Rights Law (University of Essex, 2001), and a Dr. iur. in International Criminal Law (Humboldt University of Berlin, 2013). Dr. Sayapin teaches and researches in the areas of international and criminal law, and is among Central Asia’s leading experts on international conflict and security law. He was involved in E4J since 2017.
