Bio

 Ygnacio Martínez Laguna graduated from the Faculty of Chemical Sciences of the Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla, he holds a Master's degree in Microbiological Sciences with a specialization on Biochemistry and Microbial Genetics (1992, BUAP); and a Doctor's degree in Biochemical Sciences from the Institute of Biotechnology of UNAM (1999).
He is a Research Professor at the Research Center in Microbiological Sciences of the Institute of Sciences of the Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla and Member of the Academy of Postgraduate Studies in Microbiology since 1992 to date and of the degree in Biomedicine, BUAP since 1997 to date.


His line of application and knowledge generation is oriented towards the Genetics and Molecular Biology of Parasite-Host Interaction and his research program is focused on the knowledge of the Network of Transcriptional Regulation Circuits of the Pathogenicity of Diarreagenic Escherichia coli.He has participated with 90 Papers in National Congresses and 40 Papers in International Congresses, has published 31 articles in indexed and popular magazines, 19 book chapters and the edition of 8 books. 

He is currently Vice-Rector of Research and Postgraduate Studies at the Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla and has held various positions within the Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla before. He has supervised various academic works and doctoral theses.
