Title Vice-Rector for International Affairs Institution / Organization Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME) Hungary Bio Balázs Vince Nagy is the vice-rector for international affairs of the Budapest University of Technology and Economics and associate professor at the Department of Mechatronics, Optics and Engineering Informatics of the same institutions. He is the president of the International Committee of the Hungarian Rectors’ Conference. He graduated as MSc in mechanical engineering at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics (Hungary, 2000). He holds postgraduate degree in economics from the Corvinus University of Budapest (Hungary, 2005), and in illumination engineering from the Budapest Polytechnic (Hungary, 2006). He has PhD in mechanical engineering from the Budapest University of Technology and Economics (Hungary, 2009). He was a post-doctoral fellow and later visiting scientist for six years at the Institute of Psychology of the University of São Paulo, Brazil. His main research fields are lighting effects on visual perception and the application of visual stimulation in neuroscientific and ophthalmic testing. He is the Division 1 representative from Hungary in the International Commission on Illumination (CIE). He also represents both Hungary in the SC62B MT51 workgroup of the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC). |
