Title Dean of Research Cluster, Malaysia Institution / Organization Bio Dr. Noor Hayaty is a professor at the Department of Restorative Dentistry, Faculty of Dentistry, University of Malaya. Her 30 years of clinical practice has been interspersed by research, teaching, management and leadership roles. She is currently the Dean of Health and Well-being Research Cluster, where she facilitates an interdisciplinary network of researchers involved in a broad range of research and innovation including active ageing, cancer, lifestyle diseases, mental health and innovative healthcare research. As a dedicated teacher, she also involves herself in dental education research where soft skills, reflective teaching and learning, and clinical competencies are amongst the area of interest. At the national level, she is a member of the Malaysian Dental Council, she chairs the Dental Specialty Training for Prosthodontics, and a member of the Professional Qualifying Examination Committee , Malaysian Dental Council. She served as President of the International Association for Dental Research, Southeast Asian Division (IADR-SEA) where she contributed towards promoting dental research through IADR Regional Development Program in countries such as Indonesia, Philippines, Vietnam, Myanmar and Cambodia. |
