Title President, Siam University, Thailand Institution / Organization IAU Vice-president Bio Pornchai Mongkhonvanit is the current president of Siam University in Bangkok, Thailand, Vice President of the International Association of Universities IAU and Chairperson, of the Advisory Board of the Association of Universities of Asia and the Pacific AUAP. Pornchai had served as President of the International Association of University Presidents (IAUP) from 2005 to 2008 and President of the Thailand Chapter of Phi Delta Kappa from 1995 to 1997. Pornchai earned his undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering from Kasetsart University. His graduate degree was in Finance and Banking from University of Wisconsin-Madison. He is also a member of IEM’s 2000 of the Graduate School of Education, Harvard University. And he is the Board member of World Association of Cooperative Education (WACE).
Prof. Mongkhonvanit is internationally recognized as expert on higher education strategy with emphasis on promoting sustainable relationship between University and Industries. He is also the Founder and current Vice-president of Business University Forum of Thailand, a common forum of University and Industry to collaborate and share expertise on research, training and technology exchange in various dimensions.
