Title Senior Director, Operations & Strategy Company Annenberg Foundation Bio Allison Holmes is Senior Director of Operations and Strategy at the Annenberg Foundation, where she oversees operations as well as number of initiatives including AnnenbergTech and Annenberg Learner (learner.org). Prior, she was Director of Marketing, Communications and Education for the Annenberg Foundation, overseeing all communications and marketing strategy for the foundation. For the past 27 years, the Annenberg Foundation has been funding programs in education and youth development; arts, culture and humanities; and civic and community life, to name a few. In addition, the foundation and its board are directly involved in the community with a number of projects that expand and complement its grant support to nonprofits. Among them are initiatives such as Annenberg Alchemy and Alchemy Plus; LAnSync; the Annenberg Space for Photography; Explore.org; the Metabolic Studio; and Annenberg Learner. Prior to the Annenberg Foundation, Allison served as Associate Dean of Marketing and Communications at UCLA Anderson School of Management where she oversaw a comprehensive rebranding of the school and brokered the first partnership between TED and an institute of higher education. She also served as Vice President of the G and R Loeb Foundation, managing the most prestigious award program in business journalism, the Gerald Loeb Awards. Prior to UCLA, Allison served as head of media relations and for the Directors Guild of America, where she started her tenure as managing editor of DGA Magazine. She began her career as a journalist, serving is such roles as West Coast correspondent for Money Magazine and assistant to syndicated columnist and author Richard Reeves. Allison received her BA from Duke University and her master’s degree in writing from the American Film Institute. She serves on the Westside Neighborhood Council which is dedicated to bringing neighborhoods together for emergency preparedness. Allison lives in Los Angeles and has the honor of being mom to three under the age of twelve. |
