Ria grew up in Bombay, India but came of age in Providence, RI, where she (reluctantly) graduated from Brown University in 2015 with majors in Computer Science and Migration Studies (of humans, not birds!) As a student, she gluttonously indulged in courses from over 25 different departments, ranging from comparative literature to physics to neuroscience, turning her transcript into a work of abstract art. Today, she's attempting this thing called adulthood as a Product Manager for a new communication experience at Microsoft. He role puts her at the intersection of technology, business and design and challenges her to see things from diverse perspectives – which her liberal arts background has armed her to do. In her spare time, Ria is either traveling or planning her next trip so she can be the first beret clad Indian girl under 30 to have traveled the whole world (133 countries to go!)
