Manali received a Bachelors of Technology in Computer Science from Pune Institute of Computer Technology, India in 2008 and a Masters degree from Carnegie Mellon University in 2012. She has 7+ years of industry experience in system software development across Cisco, Intel research labs, VMware and most recently Apple. In 2012, she joined the Hypervisor-Platform group at VMware and worked on virtualizing devices, CPU and memory for VMwares hypervisor, fusion and workstation across different operating systems. She is currently working as a software developer in Apple File system team (APFS), which is part of CoreOS at Apple. At Apple, she leads the Extended Firmware Interface (EFI) efforts for APFS on MAC and iOS. When she is not digging into core dumps, she enjoys participating in hackathons, attending various technical meetups, travelling and dancing.
