Ilke Demir received her Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from Purdue University, under supervision of Daniel G. Aliaga. Her research interests include inverse procedural modeling, geometry processing, and 3D urban reconstruction. She obtained her her M.S. degree in Computer Science also from Purdue, and B.S. degree in Computer Engineering from Middle East Technical University with a minor in Electrical Engineering. She worked at Pixar Animation Studios as an intern in 2015-2016. She has interned at KOVAN Robotics Lab and Havelsan Inc. on graphics and simulation projects, and served as the student system admin at METU. Ilke received numerous awards including Bilsland Dissertation Fellowship, GHC Scholarship, and best poster, paper, and reviewer awards. Currently, she joined Facebook for her post-doc under supervision of Ramesh Raskar. Throughout her career, she has been actively involved in women in science organisms, always being an advocate for women and underrepresented minorities.
