Title Founding Director Company Darin Cooper Foundation Bio Este is the founding director of the Darin Cooper Foundation, which advances the Australian community by making grants to arts organisations and education programs. Este is passionate about engaging the next generation of philanthropists, and has been involved in a number of young philanthropy initiatives. She is a member of Philanthropy Australia’s New Generation program, and a board member of Beyond Empathy and Force Majeure. Este’s day job is quite separate from philanthropy – she works in in human rights policy for the Australian Government where she is the Director of Regulation and Strategy for the Information Commission. Prior to joining the public sector, Este was a lawyer in the financial services team at Mallesons Stephen Jacques (now Kind & Wood Mallesons) and an associate to the former Hon Justice Lindgren at the Federal Court. She holds a Bachelor of Law/Engineering (electrical) (1st class hons) from the University of Melbourne.
