Senior Advisor for Extramural Programs and Strategic Development for Data Science, Office of the Associate Director for Data Science, Department of Health and Human Services and BD2K Executive Committee Chair

Jennie brings deep knowledge of biomedical data science and significant National Institutes of Health (NIH) experience to the ADDS office. She currently chairs the Big Data to Knowledge (BD2K) executive committee and oversees BD2K extramural programs and strategic planning. Previously, Jennie served as a Health Scientist Administrator with the Bioengineering and Genomic Applications Scientific Review Group in the Division of Cardiovascular Diseases at the National Heart Lung and Blood Institute (NHLBI). In this role, she oversaw a portfolio of research in computational biology, informatics, and systems biology. She has been deeply involved in biomedical data science throughout her career and her integrative research has included physiological ecology, comparative physiology and neurophysiology, neuroendocrinology, and functional genomics.
