From European gas transport issues to cross-border policy disputes, he has a developed expertise in commercial diplomacy, especially where transparent markets intersect the developing world. Prior to joining TDI in 2004, Mr. Slimp served as Vice President and Officer of Duke Energy Americas where he led Commercial Operations, to include Valuation, Market Fundamentals and Portfolio Analytics. At Enron Europe in London, he spearheaded the commoditization of Internet protocol services as one of the first potential technology-oriented commodity markets. He also served at Enron North America in Houston where he advised global trading operations and the executive management team on commodity and event risk for oil, gas and power. Mr. Slimp began his career as a US diplomat and trade negotiator serving in Paris, Brussels, Geneva and Sarajevo. |
