We are all moving into a world where it has become clear that credentials, skills and competencies need to be better understood, harmonized in order to become a major factor in the education workforce lifelong engagement.

ESCO within the EU and Credential Engine in the US are part of a major movement to bring credentials, skills and competencies to the forefront of learning outcomes and workforce pathways. Their work is helping to evolve the global workforce eco-system. In this panel you will hear from Dimitrios Pikios of ESCO and Jeanne Kitchens of CredentialEngine who will cover the major challenges in harmonizing credentials within a region, the approaches being taken to achieve harmonization, the role that their respective organizations play in the space and their assessment of progress and the road to harmonization between the EU and the US. The panel will be hosted by Rick Torres, CEO of the National Student Clearinghouse and Groningen Declaration Network Founding member and will have a 30 minute Q&A on the back end.
