Description
This session is organized by the Romanian National Council of Rectors with the aim to present an institutional approach to the internationalization of higher education. The speakers will provide examples of best practices and discuss some of the challenges encountered in pursuing internationalization of higher education.
The National Council of Rectors (NCR), established in 2000, acts as a consultative, non-governmental, national, independent, apolitical and non-profit institution. The NCR aims to ensure the consistent application of the National Education Law and of other normative provisions, as well as to ensure university autonomy. The National Council of Rectors represents the accredited universities in Romania as it is the only institution that promotes the interests of the universities in relation to state authorities, including the legislative process affecting education and research.
