Disasters often impact critical infrastructure. Emergency management needs situational awareness as soon as possible to direct the recovery. In this work, we examined two datasets used in identifying power outages for the 2016 Hurricane Matthew storm. While useful for high-level analytics, the lack of data consistency or standardization severely limits the decision support applications of the data
