Derailments of rail blocks is a common problem in developing countries. Utilization of wireless sensor network is an intuitive solution for this problem. Underlying physical properties of wireless communication introduce hurdles such as high bit error rate in the channels. In this paper, we mainly focus on analyzing the performance of different metrics for high bit error rate using ns-2 simulator.
