We are currently converting MATLAB to C++ and expressing matrix operations by using a parallelized C++ matrix library. Some preliminary findings for the speedup gained by converting MATLAB to C++ will be presented. My work has been focused primarily on extending the functionality of a translator, including adding support for new features of the MATLAB language as well as adding transformations.
