Falls have been a major public health problem among the elderly. We designed and implemented a decision tree-based and an artificial neural network (with resilient back propagation)-based fall detection algorithms. Our algorithms generate good performance with low CPU cost. We also created a user activity data collection system, which will be a useful tool for researchers in the community.
