Speech recognition applications are useful for enabling convenient interaction with technology, especially for the physically challenged. This project was designed to make daily tasks easier by creating a speech-recognition app using the open-source speech software Pocketsphinx (compared to Windows Cortana and IBM Bluemix), which connects to a web-based avatar that interfaces with a smart home.
