Izumi Nakano is the director of the Secretariat of the Asian Pacific Association for the Study of the Liver (APASL). APASL was established in 1978 with the goal of advancing the science and practice of hepatology, and is today one of the world’s leading scientific associations contributed to the research and treatment of liver diseases as the non-profit organization.
Izumi is involved in the aspects of the APASL’s activities, promotion, coordinating meetings and congresses, strategic planning, publications, and so on. Izumi has over 16 years’ of convention management experience, with 9 years playing a role for the society’s administrative management at the central Tokyo office of APASL.
Izumi has a certified travel supervisor’s license, and is a member of the Japan congress & convention bureau.
