Title: |
Intermediate Measurement Theory |
Code: |
M201 |
Overview: |
Understanding
controls and equipment that control pipeline systems. |
Learning
Objectives: |
Upon
completion of this session, learners will be able to:
- Navigate the RTU control screens (e.g.,
pressures, flows, temperatures).
- Demonstrate manual EV actuator control.
- Identify various instrumentation.
- Explain where and why telemetry is required.
- Describe instrumentation effects on stations
(e.g., Coriolis pressure loss).
- State the operational theory of Pitot tubes,
Coriolis meters, Annubar meters, Ultrasonic meters, and pressure factor
metering.
- Identify Pitot tubes, Coriolis meters,
Annubar meters, Ultrasonic meters, and pressure factor metering.
- Perform the required checks and maintenance
on Pitot tubes, Coriolis meters, Annubar meters, Ultrasonic meters, and
pressure factor metering.
- State the proper application/installation for
each type of meter.
