This four-week course inspired by Why Good Kids Get Bad Grades, helps parents move beyond frustration and uncover what's really driving their child's academic struggles. Grounded in the work of Dr.Linda Silbert, the course emphazises a powerful shift: instead of focusing on only grades, parents learn to identify underlying causes —whether academic, emotional, behavioral, or developmental—and respond with insight and strategy.
Participants will explore how learning differences, executive functioning challenges, and modern pressures like social media and post-pandemic impacts can affect performance. Through real-life scenarios and guided reflection, parents will develop a deeper understanding of their child's unique learning pofile.
Each week also introduces pracrical, research-informed tools to support success at home, including strategies for organization, time management, study habits, and productive parent-child communication. Parents will learn how to advocate effectively, collaborate with educators, and build their child's confidence and independence.
By the end of the course, families will be equipped not just to respond to poor grades—but to partner with their child in meaningful, lasting ways that can promote growth, resilience, and success in school and beyond.
