Course Description:
In this two-hour Zoom workshop, literary agent Jeff Kleinman, founding partner of New York City-based Folio Literary Management unpacks the secrets of a successful author-agent relationship. How do you get an agent? How do you know what agent is right for you? What should you expect? What do agents wish authors knew and understood. The instructor will also share his insights on craft, gained from 20-plus years in the business—topics such as how to build narrative momentum, create stronger characters, and build a winning manuscript along with tips on practical elements such as writing a great query letters; contracts; and working with editors.
