As Internal Audit groups continue to find new and better ways to add value and remain relevant with their business partners, the Agile mindset may offer a methodology (process, tools and techniques) to achieve this goal. In this session, we’ll begin by examining the Agile methodology and mindset, including terminology, concepts and tools that can help internal audit teams deliver better outcomes, with improved documentation and increased team engagement. We will then hear from Target Corp’s internal audit team regarding their journey of transformation in utilizing the Agile mindset, including their successes and learnings. Note – this is not a session on how to audit the Agile development methodology, but a discussion on how to apply the Agile concepts and mindset within the internal audit function to execute better engagements.
