STACS Professional Learning Series
Supporting Socioeconomically Disadvantaged Students & Advancing Innovative Strategies

The Santa Clara County Office of Education, in partnership with the Charter Schools Development Center, is offering a professional learning series through the California Department of Education’s Statewide Technical Assistance for Charter Schools (STACS) Subgrant. Each series includes Best Practice Webinars and Continuous Improvement Networks focused on supporting socio-economically disadvantaged (SED) students and strengthening innovative, inclusive instructional strategies.


In this registration, you will select your learning pathway:

Socio-Economically Disadvantaged Students (SED) Strand – This series explores who SED students are, the systemic barriers they face, and practical, research-based approaches schools can use to create more equitable conditions for learning.

  • April 8, 2026 | Continuous Improvement Network: Understanding & Supporting Foster and Housing Insecure Youth (Part II) 

Advancing Innovative Strategies Strand – This series helps teams interpret and use data effectively, apply inclusive design principles, and implement high-impact practices that support learners with diverse strengths, needs, and access requirements.

  • April 1, 2026 (Watch Recording) | Best Practices Webinar: Foundations of Inclusive Education
  • April 15, 2026 | Best Practices Webinar: Fundamentals of Growth Data
  • May 6, 2026 | Continuous Improvement Network: Select an inclusion action step, draft a plan, and set measurable goals
  • May 20, 2026 | Continuous Improvement Network: Revisit the action step, share outcomes, and refine into stronger strategies for a shared resource bank

Both Strands – A comprehensive professional learning experience across both focus areas.

This year, each strand includes two Best Practice Webinars, with optional participation in Continuous Improvement Networks and Office Hours. You may select one strand or both based on your professional learning goals and interests.
