Commitment to a Safe and Respectful Environment
The Center for Neural Circuit Mapping (CNCM) at the University of California, Irvine (UCI) is fully committed to ensuring a professional, respectful, and harassment-free environment for all participants. The CNCM 2026 Conference will promote a welcoming and supportive atmosphere in which all attendees, regardless of career stage, background, or identity, can fully engage in scientific exchange and community interaction.
Code of Conduct
All participants including speakers, trainees, staff, and organizers, are required to adhere to the conference Code of Conduct, which prohibits harassment, discrimination, and inappropriate behavior. Prohibited behaviors include (but are not limited to):
- Verbal, written, or physical conduct that demeans, intimidates, or shows hostility toward others
- Discriminatory or exclusionary behavior based on certain characteristics
- Sexual harassment or unwelcome advances
- Disruptive or inappropriate conduct during sessions or events
All participants are expected to conduct themselves in a professional and respectful manner at all times.
Violations may result in actions including warning, removal from the conference, and/or notification of the individual’s home institution, as appropriate.
