Cross Content Design - Community of Practice and STEM Expert Series

In this Community of Practice we will:

Collaborate across grade levels and subjects to create interdisciplinary learning experiences.

Share ideas and strategies for making STEM relevant and engaging for all students.

Get support in designing lessons that meet a wide range of student needs and learning styles.

Build a professional community and network of like-minded educators who can problem-solve together.

In these workshops we will:

Gain access to local STEM experts who are engaging in interdisciplinary research, design, and application to address issues of today and tomorrow.

Discover real-world connections you can bring straight into your classroom.

Learn about local issues and opportunities that make STEM relevant for your students.

Explore STEM career pathways to share with students.

Get inspired by the passion of local STEM leaders!

Graduate Units available for participation and implementation!

Community of Practice Dates:

September 16th, November 18th, February 10th, and May 19th

Time: 4:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Location: Virtual - Zoom

STEM Expert Dates:

October 28th, January 20th, April 18th

Time: 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.

Location: Various locations within Santa Clara County

Cost: FREE

Audience: Educators who support and instruct Grades 4-12
