This presentation will summarize the current ESG landscape. Then we'll identify common challenges companies face in meeting heightened ESG expectations, including program structure adjustments and added internal controls. We will also discuss ESG / Sustainability auditing and how internal audit can proactively support organizational readiness and adaptability.

Steve serves as the global sustainability audit lead for Protiviti and is also internal audit market lead for St. Louis. He has over 20 years of client engagement experience working in the manufacturing, hospitality & gaming, consumer goods & retail, and banking industries.
Matthew is an Associate Director in the Internal Audit and Financial Advisory Practice our of Protiviti's Cincinnati, OH office. Matthew has 10 years of experience within Internal Audit advisory. He specializes in assisting clients in company transformation, Sarbanes Oxley readiness and compliance, internal control testing, and operational audits. He has assisted clients in the manufacturing, medical device, financial services, real estate, and higher education industries.
