AI tools and prevalence continues to advance, and the potential for AI in auditing use and need for auditor awareness continues to grow. This roundtable will review a few case studies of ways we can use public information and free AI tools to advance our audit work, and open the room to a discussion of opportunities and challenges of AI in our day to day. Come with questions, thoughts, and ideas, and we’ll continue to advance our awareness and use of AI tech in auditing – and considerations around auditing AI – together.
About your facilitators
Emily Fiocco is the CAE at the Department of Early Learning and Care. She’s an active member of DELC’s current pilot of ChatGPT with a government license, and uses AI on a regular basis to advance qualitative and quantitative analysis and shortcut routine audit and advisory tasks.
Meredith Kim is a Senior Internal Auditor at the Oregon Department of Transportation. She is a strong advocate for integrating AI into auditing processes, focusing on helping others overcome challenges and uncertainties in adopting these technologies. Meredith has leveraged AI as a valuable tool in both her professional endeavors and personal growth.
