Mental Health First Aid is an evidence-based, early- intervention course that teaches participants about mental health and substance use challenges. In this course you will learn; risk factors and warning signs of mental health problems, information on depressions, anxiety, trauma, psychosis, and addiction disorders, a 5-step action plan to help someone developing a mental health problem or in crisis, and where to turn for help- professional, peer, and self help resources. This is a nationally recognized curriculum and you will receive a certification after completion of this course. This course is appropriate for anyone who wants to learn how to help a person who may may be experiencing a mental health related crisis or problem.
