The 13th Annual Rowland Conference

Event Description:

The Annual Rowland Conference is the largest one-day educational conference in Vermont, intended for educators, students, and community members interested in improving the culture and climate of schools. This year's keynote speaker, Dr. Jill Lepore, will speak on the theme of Democracy & School, and lead our thinking on how to cultivate the habits of a democratic culture in our schools and the wider community. To share new learning, the Rowland Foundation encourages schools/districts to register eight-member teams, which is more cost-effective than individual registrations. Team members often include the principal, teachers, coordinators, support staff, and school board members. Superintendents can be added to the team, as the ninth team member, for no additional charge. Once a school/district team has been registered, it will be possible to add up to three students, space permitting, for a nominal charge.
