The Veterinary Preventative Health Certificate consists of 10 online learning modules and a final assessment. The online learning can be completed asynchronously over the course of 6 months. The program introduces students to information covering vaccinations, spaying and neutering, parasitology, zoonotic diseases, dental care, behavior, nutrition, and other topics related to preventative healthcare. At the completion of this certificate, students will have the skills necessary to communicate with clients regarding preventative healthcare, advocate for the patient, and support the veterinarian’s recommendations. This certificate is recommended for individuals currently employed at veterinary clinics or interested in starting a career in the veterinary field.
