COVID-19 Health and Saftety Committment to Delegates
The Canadian Surgery Forum’s (CSF) number one priority is the health and safety of its delegates. As such, I understand that all activities related to the conference will meet or exceed public health guidelines in place at the time of the conference as per the Health Authority of Manitoba, the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC), the Delta Hotels Winnipeg and the RBC Convention Centre.
RAPID ANTIGEN TESTS
The CSF will have COVID-19 rapid antigen tests on site if a delegate begins to experience any symptoms associated with COVID-19. Should the delegate test positive, the appropriate self-isolation requirements will go into effect and communications to delegates will follow.
ONSITE PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT
The Health Authority of Manitoba no longer requires face masks in public areas. However, to increase personal protection and provide an additional level of comfort for delegates, the CSF will have face masks available at the registration desk for any delegates that requires them.
The RBC Convention Centre has added additional hand sanitization stations around the facility but the CSF will also provide hand sanitizers within every meeting room.
CLEANING PROCEDURES
Both, the RBC Convention Centre and the Delta Hotels Winnipeg have enhanced their cleaning practices throughout the hotel and in guestrooms as a result of COVID-19. They have designed a disinfection protocol in all public areas of the hotel, such as restaurants and meeting rooms. They have increased the frequency of cleaning and disinfection in high traffic, public areas including restrooms, elevators and escalators. They have also increased the frequency of cleaning their HVAC systems and filter replacements.
Housekeeping staff thoroughly clean and disinfect each guestroom prior to a guest’s arrival. Special attention is given to all high touch areas within the guestroom such as light switches, door knobs, TV remote and thermostats.
INTERNATIONAL DELEGATES
International attendees will be required to follow the Government of Canada’s COVID-19 travel protocols. Please click HERE for more information. Please contact the Conference Planner, Marbella Berroa at marbella@cags-accg.ca for more information or questions related to COVID-19 protocols at the conference.
