Dear Colleagues
The Danish Institute of Arbitration (DIA) and ICC Denmark are delighted to welcome you to this year’s Copenhagen Arbitration Day.
We are honored to present an excellent program and it is with great pleasure that we thank our speakers, which are some of the most recognized practitioners in the field. The Copenhagen Arbitration Day is the main event of the Danish arbitration community’s calendar. It offers an outstanding opportunity to explore fundamental issues in international arbitration, to network with peers and to be updated on the most important trends within the field of international arbitration.
The event takes place at the House of Industry – the headquarters of the Confederation of Danish Industry (DI) – located in the heart of Copenhagen between Tivoli Gardens and Copenhagen City Hall. A drinks reception and dinner will follow by the lakes at the Restaurant Gemini, a 10-minute walk away from the House of Industry. During the dinner, the esteemed practitioner Søren Lundsgaard, Bech-Bruun will deliver a short speech.
We would like to thank extend our thanks to Accura, the University of Copenhagen and Kromann Reumert for hosting the lunch seminars as part of the Copenhagen Arbitration Day, see how to register to the lunch seminars on page 4 and 5. In order to underline the importance of getting more women to enter the scene as arbitrators, the DIA invites everyone to the separate event Women in Arbitration, where a panel of top-arbitrators will share their experiences about their careers in arbitration. The event will take place the day after the Copenhagen Arbitration Day, i.e. on 5 September from 10:00 until 12:00 at the Valencia building - owned by Dreyers Foundation and headquarters of the Association of Danish Law Firms (Danske Advokater). Please register on this page.
The day before the main event mentioned above, i.e. on 3 September, from 17:30 to 19:30 the Young Arbitrators Copenhagen (YAC) will host a drinks reception for the participants in Copenhagen Arbitration Day, see more details on page 6.
Finally, we would like to express our gratitude and thank our sponsors, including our main sponsor Dreyers Fond and our other sponsors and the Confederation of Danish Industry.
