The National Institute of Neurological Disease and Stroke (NINDS) is planning a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Classification and Nomenclature Workshop to be held January 22 - 23, 2024, at the NIH in Bethesda, MD. The goal of the workshop (and related working groups) will be to review data from previous and existing clinical studies and develop a more precise, and evidence-based classification system – beyond the terms that are currently used “mild, moderate, severe”.
Please visit the Focus on TBI webpage and the National Institute of Neurological Disease and Stroke (NINDS) Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Classification and Nomenclature Workshop event page for more information.
