Proposals to present papers at ICMA XXII are now invited. A list of suggested categories of topics is set out below. However, papers on any subject matter relevant to the practice of maritime law and maritime arbitration of both a procedural or substantive nature are invited.
Papers will be presented in both plenary and parallel sessions, each made up of a panel of speakers.
Speakers will be invited from the international maritime and arbitration community to present, at plenary sessions, papers on subject matters of significant general interest.
Papers to be presented in parallel sessions will be those dealing with more specialised subject matter than those presented in the plenary sessions.
Each speaker will be allocated approximately 15 minutes to present the most interesting aspect of his/her paper, intended to generate lively discussion amongst the speakers, panel members and fellow delegates.
Summary papers, using the word template referred to below, should be submitted by 18 March 2023. The site is temporary open.
Notification of acceptance of papers will be sent by email, together with information as to the required format and layout of the paper to be submitted, by 9 June 2023.
