Parent Engagement Program - Active Parenting with SEL Support Workshop Series
Parents want to develop and support healthy relationships with their children! Enroll your school or district and invite parents to attend this 4-part workshop series in Fall or Spring. Sessions will be held in English and Spanish (by request).
Active Parenting is a four-session workshop series for parents of preadolescents and adolescents in 6th – 12th grades. Using a culturally sensitive manner, parents learn about the social emotional developmental needs of adolescents, effective communication, and other strategies they can use to help their teens develop into responsible and courageous adults.
Topics include: how teens gain more independence with responsibility, how to reduce risky behavior, and how to provide academic support for Common Core reading, writing, and math.
