Every fall The Rowland Foundation offers a one-day conference hosted by the University of Vermont. While the conference is open to all educators, the Foundation specifically encourages eight-member teams from Vermont high schools (Team of 8). Team members typically include the principal or head of school, teachers, guidance counselors, additional administrators, and school board members. Superintendents can be added to the team for no additional charge (Team of 9). Once a school/district team has been registered, it will be possible to add up to three students, space permitting, in the weeks leading up to the conference for a nominal charge.
We are thrilled to have Dr. Gholdy Muhammad as our keynote speaker for the 11th Annual Rowland Conference at UVM's Davis Center on Wednesday, October 26, 2022. She is a nationally recognized leader in literacy and culturally responsive education and the author of Cultivating Genius: An Equity Framework for Culturally and Historically Responsive Literacy.
The conference will also include morning and afternoon session workshops facilitated by leading Vermont educators and authors.
